Kate Bethell – Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner

Hello, I'm Kate, a qualified integrative counsellor, certified Havening Techniques® practitioner and hypnotherapist based in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. I offer therapy both online across the UK and in person from my private practice in Richmond.

I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, understood and accepted without judgement. My aim is to provide a warm, compassionate and supportive space where you can feel safe enough to explore whatever has brought you to therapy, at your own pace.

Alongside Havening Techniques®, I draw upon a wide range of evidence-informed approaches to tailor therapy to your individual needs. These include integrative counselling, clinical hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), mindfulness, breathwork, somatic approaches and trauma-informed practice. As a qualified eating disorders specialist and couples counsellor, I also have additional training in supporting people experiencing disordered eating, relationship difficulties and the lasting effects of trauma.

I work with adults and young people experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, overthinking, panic, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief, burnout, sleep problems and emotional overwhelm. I understand that everyone's experiences are unique, which is why I never believe in a 'one size fits all' approach to therapy.

Havening Techniques® can be a powerful way of helping people feel calmer, more emotionally regulated and less overwhelmed by distressing memories, anxiety or deeply held emotional responses. When appropriate, I integrate Havening with my other therapeutic approaches to create a personalised treatment plan that feels right for you.

Clients often describe me as calm, approachable, caring and genuine. I am naturally warm, patient and empathetic, while also being encouraging and practical. I strive to help people feel comfortable from our very first session, building a trusting therapeutic relationship where lasting change can happen.

Whether you are looking to reduce anxiety, recover from trauma, build confidence, improve relationships or simply feel more like yourself again, I would be delighted to support you on your journey.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am committed to providing ethical, professional and confidential care while continually developing my knowledge through ongoing training and professional development.

If you're ready to take the first step, I'd love to hear from you.
